Smartcric New ID: How Far Behind Is Your Stream
Smartcric is a live cricket streaming and scores website, not a bookmaker. It has never taken a bet, so there is no such thing as a Smartcric betting account, and GameWinExch is not affiliated with Smartcric and cannot issue any login for it. People type Smartcric new ID into a search box because they want two things together: somewhere to watch the match and somewhere to bet on it. We can help with the second, through our own rupee ID opened over WhatsApp with UPI deposits. This page is about how the first affects the second, because the picture on your screen is older than you think.
The Delay Chain
A ball is bowled at the ground. From that instant, different audiences learn the result at different times.
- Scouts at the ground. Data companies place people in the stadium who log each ball on a handheld device. Their feed reaches bookmakers and exchanges within one to two seconds. This is what drives prices and market suspensions.
- Satellite and cable TV. The broadcast is encoded, sent up to a satellite and down to your dish. Typical delay is five to eight seconds behind the ground.
- Official OTT apps. Internet streams are chopped into segments, buffered and delivered through content networks. Delay is usually 20 to 45 seconds and can exceed a minute during heavy traffic, such as an India-Pakistan game.
- Score apps and text commentary. These vary widely. The quick ones update within 3 to 10 seconds. Others lag behind television.
- Unofficial free streams. These are re-broadcasts of someone else’s feed, re-encoded and pushed through overloaded servers. A delay of 60 to 120 seconds is normal, and they freeze at the worst moments.
The panel itself sits at the front of this queue. Whatever you are watching, the market has already seen it.
Measure Your Own Lag
You can time your delay with nothing more than a phone stopwatch. Open a live match market on the panel beside your stream. Markets suspend the moment a wicket falls, a boundary is hit or a review is called. When you see the market suspend, start the stopwatch. When the event appears on your screen, stop it. Do this five or six times and take the average.
When we did this during a league match, the results were: DTH television 6 seconds, the official app on home fibre 31 seconds, the same app on mobile data 44 seconds, a fast score app 5 seconds, and a free streaming site 97 seconds. Your figures will differ, but the order will not.
What Lag Costs You
Say you are watching on a stream that runs 40 seconds late. On your screen, the batting side needs 24 from 12 balls and is priced at 2.10. You like that and back it for 2,000 rupees. But in the real match, a wicket fell 25 seconds ago. The panel’s price has already moved to 3.20. One of two things happens. Either your bet is matched at the new price, which is fine but not the bet you thought you were making, or on a fixed-odds style market, the bet is rejected because the odds changed. What never happens is that you get 2.10 on a position the market knows is now worth 3.20.
The reverse case hurts more. You see a calm game and lay the chasing side, not knowing that a six was hit half a minute ago. The market will gladly match you at the old price if another user’s order is still sitting there, but increasingly those stale orders belong to nobody, because fast traders cancel them within a second of the event. The slow viewer is left taking only the prices that faster people no longer want. Over a season, this is a steady leak, invisible in any one bet.
The Bet Delay Is Not Your Friend
In-play bets on exchanges carry a built-in delay of several seconds between pressing the button and the order going live. It exists to protect existing orders from people at the ground, as the courtsiding article explains. For someone on a slow stream it adds to the problem: you are 40 seconds late, plus 5 more.
Why Free Streams Are the Worst Seat
Apart from the two-minute delay, unofficial streaming sites carry risks that have nothing to do with cricket. They are funded by aggressive advertising networks. Fake play buttons lead to software downloads. Pop-ups ask for notification permission and then push scam alerts. Some pages prompt you to install a special player or a browser extension, which is a classic route for malware that reads passwords and OTP messages. A phone that holds your UPI apps and your betting login is a poor place to take that gamble. If a site asks you to install anything in order to watch, close it.
Sensible Ways to Bet With a Delay
- Bet in the breaks. Between overs, during drinks and at the innings change, nothing is happening that the market knows and you do not. Our Giobet page builds a whole routine around this.
- Use the panel’s scorecard as your clock. The score shown inside the panel runs off the fast feed. If it disagrees with your stream, believe the panel.
- Prefer television to apps when both are available, and wired internet to mobile data.
- Trade views, not balls. A pre-match opinion on the pitch or a judgement that a chase is mispriced at the halfway mark does not depend on seeing each delivery first.
Other news-and-scores brands that people mistake for bookmakers are covered on the CricketGully and SportsAdda pages. For how our own account works, read the online cricket ID guide or the cricket exchange primer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bet on Smartcric?
No. It is a streaming and scores site with no betting function, and we have no link with it. Betting happens on a panel such as ours, using a separate ID.
Is any stream truly live?
No. Even satellite TV is several seconds behind. Only people inside the ground see the ball in real time.
Why does the market suspend before I see anything happen?
Because the panel receives ground data in a second or two, well ahead of any broadcast. The suspension is the event, seen early.
Can I reduce OTT delay?
Slightly. Use wired or strong Wi-Fi, close other apps, and pick the low-latency setting if the app offers one. You will not get below TV delay.
Do bookmakers use the delay against customers?
They do not need to. Prices simply update on faster information, and anyone betting on slower information gets the worse side of that.
Watching the match should be the fun part. Bet only with money you can lose, avoid chasing every ball from a late picture, and leave betting to those who are 18 or older.
