SportsAdda New ID: Build Your Own Venue File Before You Bet
SportsAdda is an Indian sports news and statistics website, not a bookmaker, and people who search for a SportsAdda new ID are usually looking for a betting account to go with the stats they have been reading. GameWinExch is not affiliated with SportsAdda and does not open accounts there or anywhere else; the ID we issue is our own rupee betting ID, arranged on WhatsApp and funded by UPI, for an Indian panel. This page is about the single most useful piece of homework a cricket bettor can do, which is to stop relying on other people’s previews and build a venue file of your own using the free query tool on ESPNcricinfo known as Statsguru.
Why Venue Beats Almost Everything Else
Team strength changes with every squad announcement. Form is noisy. But a ground’s character changes slowly. Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru has produced high scores for years because the boundaries are short and the air is thin. Chepauk in Chennai has favoured spin and lower totals for just as long. A totals line on a panel is set by traders who know this, but they are pricing hundreds of matches a week and they lean on averages. A bettor who has looked at the last thirty matches at one ground, split by season and by day or night, will sometimes see something the average hides. That is the whole edge on offer, and it is small, but it is real and it is free.
What Statsguru Is
Statsguru is the query interface inside ESPNcricinfo’s records section. It lets you filter every recorded international and most major domestic matches by format, ground, team, date range, innings number, result and a dozen other fields, and it returns tables you can read or copy into a spreadsheet. It has looked more or less the same for many years and it is not glamorous, which is exactly why so few casual bettors use it.
The Five Queries That Make a Venue File
- First-innings scores at the ground, last three seasons. Filter by ground, format and innings number one, sorted by date. Note the median rather than the mean, because one 260 in a T20 drags an average up without telling you anything about a normal night.
- Chasing record. Same ground, filter results by whether the side batting second won. A ground where the chasing side wins two thirds of the time is telling you something about dew or about how the pitch settles.
- Toss decisions and outcomes. How often the toss winner bats first, and how often the toss winner wins. If both are high, the toss is worth waiting for before you bet.
- Day versus night. Split the first two queries by start time where the format allows it. Afternoon IPL games at some grounds behave nothing like the evening ones.
- Bowling type. Wickets taken by spin versus pace at the ground over the period. This tells you which teams’ attacks are built for the venue.
Each query takes a couple of minutes. Do it once for the eight or ten grounds that host most of the cricket you bet on and refresh it at the start of each season.
Turning the File Into a Decision
Say your Wankhede file shows that evening first innings over the last two IPL seasons have a median of 188 and that the chasing side has won around 60 percent of night games. The panel opens a first-innings runs line at 178.5. That is ten runs under your median, and a ten-run gap is meaningful in T20. Before betting the over, check the two things a file cannot know: the pitch report on the day and the two line-ups. If a slow surface is forecast or a team has packed its side with spinners, the line may be right and your file may be out of date. If nothing unusual is in play, a stake of one unit on the over is a reasonable bet, and you have a written reason for it.
That last part matters. Bets with a written reason can be reviewed. Bets placed on a hunch cannot. Keep a column in the same spreadsheet for every bet placed from the file, the reason, the price and the result, and after fifty bets you will know whether your venue reading is worth anything.
What the File Cannot Do
It cannot price a player who has just been ruled out, or a rain forecast, or a new pitch laid over the winter. It cannot tell you that a ground has been re-turfed or that the boundaries have been pushed back. Those are the reasons you still read match previews, but you read them to update a number you already hold, not to borrow someone else’s opinion. Readers who want the historical context for why run totals have climbed over the years will find it on the Sportcash page, and the guide to a T20 betting ID covers the formats where venue matters most.
Fitting It Into a Panel Routine
Most Indian panels list a runs line for each innings, a match odds market and a set of fancy markets such as top batter and total sixes. The venue file speaks most directly to the runs line and to sixes, less to match odds, which depend more on the teams. A reasonable routine is to open the file, compare the line with the median, check the day’s pitch and team news, and only then open the panel. Our page on the IPL cricket ID explains the markets, and the online cricket ID guide covers how the ID itself is set up. For fantasy players, the same venue file is just as useful when picking a side, and the Gamezy page covers the credit maths that goes with it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is SportsAdda a betting site?
No. It is a sports news and statistics website. GameWinExch has no connection to it and does not open accounts there.
Is Statsguru free?
Yes. It is part of ESPNcricinfo’s public records section and requires no login.
How many matches should a venue file cover?
Two or three seasons is a good balance. Older than that and pitches, boundaries and playing conditions have often changed.
Does a venue file work for Test cricket?
Partly. Ground character matters even more in Tests, but the sample of matches per ground is small, so read the numbers with caution.
Can the panel see that I use data?
No. Your homework is your own. What the panel sees is your bets, and consistently sharp bets on thin markets can lead to lower limits.
Do your homework, bet only what you have already written off, and remember that being 18 or over is the minimum condition, not the only one.
