Picklebet New ID: Dutching Explained With Worked Examples
Picklebet is an Australian-licensed online bookmaker specialising in esports alongside traditional sports. GameWinExch is not affiliated with Picklebet and cannot open or issue a Picklebet account; it issues only its own rupee betting IDs. The reason a Picklebet search lands here is the technique this page explains, dutching, which esports and racing bettors use constantly and cricket bettors almost never do. Dutching means backing more than one selection in the same market with stakes sized so that you win the same amount whichever of them comes in. Done properly it turns a market with 8 runners or 11 batters into a bet on a group rather than an individual.
The Basic Idea
Suppose you think one of two horses will win but cannot separate them. Backing both at the right stakes guarantees identical profit if either wins and a total loss only if a third horse takes it. The price you pay is that the combined odds are lower than either single: you have traded a higher payout for a higher chance. Whether that trade is worth it depends entirely on whether the combined implied probability of your selections is lower than your honest estimate of their combined chance.
The Stake Formula
For a fixed total stake T across selections with decimal odds o1, o2 and so on, the stake on each selection is T divided by that selection’s odds, multiplied by a normalising factor. In practice:
- Compute the implied probability of each selection: 1 divided by its odds.
- Add them together to get the combined implied probability, call it P.
- The stake on each selection is T multiplied by its implied probability divided by P.
- The return if any selection wins is T divided by P, so profit is T divided by P minus T.
Example with 1,000 rupees on two selections at 3.0 and 5.0. Implied probabilities are 0.333 and 0.200, so P is 0.533. Stakes are 1,000 times 0.333 over 0.533, which is 625 rupees, and 1,000 times 0.200 over 0.533, which is 375 rupees. If the first wins: 625 times 3.0 is 1,875. If the second wins: 375 times 5.0 is 1,875. Either way the profit is 875 rupees on 1,000 staked, an effective price of 1.875. If neither wins, the 1,000 is lost.
Target Stake Versus Target Profit
The version above fixes the total stake. Some bettors prefer to fix the profit, say 500 rupees, and work backwards. The stake on each selection is then the target profit divided by the quantity, odds minus 1, times a correction for the other selections. It is simpler to use the fixed-stake method and scale: since 1,000 rupees produced 875 profit, 500 profit needs 571 rupees in total, split in the same 625 to 375 ratio, so 357 and 214 rupees. Panels that accept only whole-rupee stakes will leave a few rupees of difference between outcomes, which is fine.
A Cricket Top-Batter Example
Top team batter is a market of 11 runners with a long tail, ideal for dutching. Suppose the three openers and the number three are priced at 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 and 7.0. Implied probabilities are 0.222, 0.200, 0.182 and 0.143, totalling 0.747. Dutching all four with 1,000 rupees means stakes of 297, 268, 244 and 191 rupees. Any of them winning returns 1,000 divided by 0.747, about 1,339 rupees, a profit of roughly 339 rupees. You are effectively backing the top four to contain the top scorer at 1.34. On a flat pitch where the top order bats deep, four batters covering the top score is often more likely than 75 percent, and the bet has value. On a green pitch with early wickets, it is not. Dead-heat rules on top batter, when two players tie, reduce the payout, so check them first.
A Racing Example
In an 8-runner race with a clear top three at 3.5, 4.0 and 6.0, the implied probabilities sum to 0.286 plus 0.250 plus 0.167, which is 0.703. Dutching them gives an effective price of 1.42. Racing markets often have 15 to 20 percent margin, so the honest question is whether those three win more than 70 percent of the time between them. The Palmerbet page on form reading is the tool for answering that, and the RaceBets page explains the bet types dutching sits alongside.
When Dutching Beats a Single
- When your view is about a group, such as the top order versus the lower order, not one player.
- When the market has a long tail of outsiders you are confident excluding.
- When the effective price still exceeds the fair price of the group. If the market is efficient the dutch only reproduces the margin.
- When you want lower variance and accept a smaller payout for it.
It never beats a single when you genuinely fancy one selection. Adding a second only dilutes the edge you believe you have.
Limits on a Panel
Three practical points. Prices move between placing the first and second bet, so place the shortest-priced selection first, since it moves most. Some panels cap stakes per market, which can stop you completing the dutch. And commission on exchange-style winnings applies to net profit per market, which reduces the guaranteed profit slightly but does not break the logic. How commission interacts with match odds and bookmaker-style markets is set out on the Parker Exchange page.
Opening a GameWinExch ID
Anyone 18 or over can message the WhatsApp desk via the online cricket ID page to receive a login. Deposit through UPI, try a small dutch on a top-batter market to see the stakes settle, and use the demo login first if you prefer to test the arithmetic without money.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can GameWinExch register me on Picklebet?
No. GameWinExch has no connection with Picklebet and cannot open accounts there. It issues only its own rupee betting IDs.
Does dutching guarantee a profit?
No. It guarantees the same profit whichever of your chosen selections wins, and a full loss if none does. It is a way of shaping a bet, not a way of removing risk.
Is dutching the same as an accumulator?
The opposite. An accumulator needs every leg to win in different events. A dutch needs any one of several selections to win in the same event.
How many selections is too many?
When the combined implied probability passes about 0.85, the effective price drops near 1.15 and one loss wipes out six or seven wins. Most useful dutches cover two to four selections.
Betting is for adults aged 18 and above. Size every dutch from money set aside for entertainment, and message the desk to pause your ID if you want to stop.
