Windaddy New ID: Deepfake Celebrity Ads and Surrogate Advertising

Windaddy is an India-facing betting and casino site. Let us be clear at the start that GameWinExch does not act for Windaddy, has no commercial arrangement with it and cannot create an account on it. Our service is our own rupee ID, handled over WhatsApp with UPI deposits. People often arrive at pages like this after seeing an advert, and these days a growing share of betting adverts in India feature a famous face saying things that the famous person never said. This page is about how those fakes are made, how to spot them, and why even a genuine endorsement tells you nothing about whether you will be paid.

The Videos That Were Never Filmed

In early 2024 Sachin Tendulkar publicly warned that a video showing him recommending a gaming app was fake, his face and voice having been manipulated. Similar clips have used Virat Kohli, film actors, news anchors and business leaders. The format is consistent: a familiar face in what looks like an interview or news segment, explaining that an ordinary person made lakhs using a certain app, followed by a link. The clips run as paid adverts on social platforms, often for only a few hours before being taken down and replaced with a fresh upload.

How a Fake Is Made

The technology is no longer exotic. A voice model needs only a few minutes of clean audio, and public figures have thousands of hours online. The model can then speak any script in that voice. For the picture, the forger takes real footage and uses lip-sync software to redraw the mouth so that it matches the new audio. Full face-swaps exist too, but lip-syncing real footage is cheaper and more convincing because everything except the mouth is authentic. Production cost is tiny compared with what a real endorsement from an India cricketer would cost, which is many crores. That price gap is the entire business model.

Spotting One

  • Watch the mouth. Lip movement that is slightly soft, teeth that blur or flicker, and a jaw that does not match the energy of the voice.
  • Listen to the rhythm. Cloned voices are flat. They lack breaths, hesitations and the speaker’s usual mix of Hindi and English.
  • Check the claim. No real celebrity promises specific earnings. Any line such as earn fifty thousand a day is a forgery marker on its own.
  • Look for the source. A genuine campaign appears on the star’s verified accounts and in press coverage. A fake exists only as an advert.
  • Inspect the link. Fakes lead to a newly registered domain, a Telegram channel or an APK download.

If you see one, report it on the platform. Several celebrities have gone to court over misuse of their likeness, and platforms do act faster on reported clips.

Surrogate Advertising: The Legal-Looking Cousin

There is a second, subtler practice. Indian government advisories issued from 2022 onward told broadcasters, publishers and digital platforms not to carry adverts for offshore betting sites. The response from some operators was the surrogate brand: a sports news site, a blog or a fantasy tips portal with a name and logo almost identical to the betting brand. The news site buys the stadium boundary boards, the team sleeve sponsorship and the television spots. Viewers see the familiar name, search for it and land on the bookmaker. The ministry has since issued further advisories naming surrogate advertising specifically, and the advertising industry’s self-regulator has flagged many such campaigns. When you see a news brand you have never read sponsoring a cricket team, you are probably looking at one.

What an Endorsement Actually Proves

Suppose the advert is genuine and the celebrity really signed. What have you learned? That the company has a marketing budget. Nothing more. The star has not audited withdrawal times, tested customer support or read the terms. Ambassadors have fronted firms that later collapsed owing customers money, in betting, in crypto and in fantasy-style trading apps. We look at the mechanics of real ambassador deals on the W88 page, and the SportsBroker page tells the story of one heavily advertised platform that failed with customer money inside.

A Costly Click

Here is a representative case. A college student in Indore sees a clip of a cricketer praising a prediction app. He installs the APK from the link, deposits 2,000 rupees through a payment page, and watches a dashboard show his balance grow to 11,000 within two days. When he tries to withdraw, he is told to pay a 3,000 rupee tax first, then a 5,000 rupee verification fee. He pays both. The app stops responding. He has lost 10,000 rupees, and the APK has had access to his SMS inbox for a week. The dashboard profit was never real. The only real numbers were the ones leaving his account.

Checks That Matter More Than Faces

Judge any betting service, ours included, by things you can test. Make a small deposit and a small withdrawal in the first week and time it. Ask a support question at an awkward hour. Never pay a fee to release a withdrawal, because genuine payouts are net of any charges. Never install an app from a link in an advert. And be wary of any page that leans on a famous face in place of plain terms. The Winmatch page covers the fake-helpline scam that often follows these adverts, while the JW8 page explains the risks of sideloaded APK files. Frequently Asked Questions

Is GameWinExch an agent for Windaddy?

No. We are independent and cannot open or manage accounts there. Our ID works only on our own panel.

Does GameWinExch use celebrity endorsements?

No. If you see a famous person promoting us in a video, treat it as fake and let us know.

Are deepfake adverts illegal in India?

Impersonation and cheating by personation are offences under existing law, and courts have granted celebrities orders protecting their likeness. Enforcement against anonymous advertisers remains slow.

How can I tell a surrogate brand from a real news site?

Check whether the site has real journalism and an editorial team, or a thin layer of articles beneath a name that matches a bookmaker.

I paid a fee to unlock a withdrawal. What now?

Stop paying, call the 1930 cybercrime helpline, inform your bank and remove the app. Further fees will never release the money.

A famous face is not a payout record; bet only as an adult, only with money you can lose, and only after testing a service with small sums of your own.
